Well, there have been too much to update and I've also gotten lazy but oh well, I guess I still do it anyway. Why? Cuz I love to type. XD I guess.
Ok, so life haven't been much...I would say but apparently when its up, its to the peak and when its down, its really all the way deep down below.
First, I've joined Echochi's Scanlation Team~!
I've applied as a typesetter and I actually kind of like that job. I guess its because it has something to do with typing? lol.
Anyway, I'm sure if you girls are BL fans, you must have heard of the team.
Not that anyone will come across here, but I'll if you girls wanna find good BL scanned mangas, be sure to head over to check for available mangas~! Here's to the Website and here's to the community
echochi_scans.
Ok, I've gotten my school results and I wouldn't say I was happy at first. I had wanted to appeal but I guess laziness takes over and I heard that its not easy to just change the grade like that. I'll just leave with it.
I've also found a job as an Personal Assistant working under 3 Financial Consultants and well I would say its tough but at the moment its just stress. I'll probably get used to it after awhile. At first we thought that there would be no problem clocking up, but as soon as the contract was signed, my friend encounters some problem. I just hope she will be ok and I will still be able to work with her.
Haiz... I don't why can't my life be smooth sailing. Since my final year project incident, I have been encountering unfavorable situations and the only good thing is probably I've joined Echochi. I wouldn't say my pay is good but I wouldn't say that its bad either. I guess being able to earn and still have more free time and still have full time benefits, I guess I should have no complains.
I just want a smooth sailing peaceful life... and be able to just take or do things of my interest, have a perfect companion and I should be grateful for it.
Gaahhh its tough. Why does the situation I've encountered are so hard to explain in words? Why does problems have to be so complicated?
Anyhow, I will just earn and save and of course buy what I want to buy. Whether its a need or want.
I guess picking out clothes for wearing to work is also quite troublesome, lucky for me I can just pick my mum's clothes for the moment.
I'm also back at Ikoma trying to recollect and cope with my Japanese since its been two years since I last stopped my class.
and I'm craving for bubble tea all of a sudden.

Date: 2012-04-11 05:59 am (UTC)Ganbare for your work!! Take it easy. Things will get better as you get use to the pace.
I think I stopped going after like 7 lessons? I was taking the highest class they were offering (tanpopo class i think?). The teachers and teaching methods were nice but I got rather bored coz most of my classmates were aunties in their late 30s or 40s. Plus eventually I came to realise that I already knew three quarter of what was taught. :p
Ohhh so you're considering going back to school after working for 2 years? I think that's really a good idea! Jia you!!
Okay, long advice here. :p
I should just point out first that there is no "Japanese language degree" in NUS. NUS offers "Japanese Studies degree" which I majored in. In JS, we study not only Japanese language, but also Japanese culture/literature/history/economics/comtemporary society/business etc. But of course, NUS's Japanese language lessons are super intensive and if you manage to take all Japanese language modules, you should graduate with at least a JLPT N2. And if you already have a foundation, you are allowed to take placement tests and skip a few levels also.
So, if you really love Japan and want to know the language, culture etc about it, go for Japanese Studies major. You'll love it! I used to write essays/projects that touched on the BL culture in Japan, my idols and anime etc.
But say, you're just interested in the language and want to learn just a little here and there about Japan, I'll strongly suggest that you major in some other course (Psychology/Socialogy/History etc) and just take Japanese language modules and some Japanese Studies modules as extra classes. In NUS, we are actually forced to take electives (classes outside of our major) so you can actually just take Japanese language as your electives or something. :p

Date: 2012-04-14 01:49 am (UTC)Yup~! Thank you~~ and lol apparently I'm considered lucky to be working under good bosses, my friend who works in the same company as me, somehow her boss is nice on the surface but scheming behind the scenes. She's "bullying" her PAs.
LOL!! 7 lessons? at basic lvl? hahaha!! serious, when I entered, there were a few of the same age as me, we even have same interests. (not BL though sadly), then y not opt for the advance lvl that time?
yupss
ohhhhh haha oops I've probably mistaken. XPP Is japanese studies tough? I'm might take up since I'm actually interested but then if there are design and media related course I might take up and just take up the jap language course as electives...lol I'll probably see by then. XPPP
thanks for the advise~!!! =] btw wre do you work again?

Date: 2012-04-16 03:33 pm (UTC)Maybe you can slowly try to influence her into liking BL. XD Yup, I don't say anything about BL to her. But sometimes we chat about stuff like homosexuality, religion and the topic does come up. :p
Ahh, good bosses are hard to find. I'm terrified of female bosses actually. They are harder to please. Hope your friend sill be alright with such a boss. >_<
Nah, it was the highest advance level that Ikoma was offering that time. Supposedly to prepare for JLPT1 but still, it was boring. Plus, I just go lazy. hahahahaha
And I'm working in a private Japanese company at Bishan~ Very boring job, thinking of job hopping soon. XD
